"Random acts of marketing" happen when an agent lacks a documented strategy. This leads to overspending on the "shiny object of the month."
Refine your strategy with these rules:
- Follow the 80/20 Rule. Identify the 20% of your activities that produce 80% of your results and double down on them.
- Create a Marketing Calendar. Plan your content and ad spend 90 days in advance.
- Focus on "Pull" vs. "Push." Instead of just pushing ads at people, create valuable content that pulls them into your ecosystem (e.g., market reports, buyer guides).
- Commit to Consistency. Marketing fails when it is inconsistent. If you choose a strategy, stick to it for at least 12 months before deciding it "doesn't work."
